Haunted Mill Gets ALICE Cooper's Scary Seal Of Approval

Shock-rocker Alice Cooper is famous for tunes like "No More Mr. Nice Guy", but to his fans, Cooper is the nicest guy around.

Cooper was in this southeastern Calhoun County village on Wednesday to pose for photos and sign autographs with fans at the Haunted Mill.

"It's pretty exciting," said the Haunted Mill's owner Lance Cuffle. "He doesn't make many public appearances, especially in a town as small as Homer."

On Wednesday, Cooper fans from across the state flooded the village of Homer.

"I'm his biggest fan in Detroit and I've spent 10 years trying to meet him," said Thomas Gorecki of Detroit, who heard about the event on a fan Web site.

"Alice is like a fine wine, he just keep getting better with age."

Cuffle was able to book Cooper through his friend, Ed Edmunds, who runs Distortions Unlimited, a Colorado-based haunted house prop company that the Cuffles hired to help with their new business.

Cuffle and his wife, Susan, have spent the last several months transforming a once rundown grist mill into a haunted house that already has brought horror enthusiasts from Toledo, Detroit and Chicago.
